Dealing with cat behavior issues can be frustrating and create extra worry and stress. Cat's Pajamas Consulting is here to help with in-home and virtual cat behavior consultations and training.
Our approach is based on scientific evidence focusing on applied behavior analysis (ABA) and positive reinforcement methods.
We work closely with your family to analyze the unwanted behavior and environment, then teach you how to manage and modify cat behavior(s) through trust and cooperation while rebuilding that special bond with your favorite feline.

The cat-human bond is vital for sustaining a happy household, our promise to you is our utmost commitment of providing the tools and support for the best success!
Cats, by nature, do not misbehave. The behaviors they exhibit are simply rational responses to their environment. Many factors can dictate behavior, such as lack of stimulation, reactions to stress, change in their environment, or even an underlying medical condition. Changing cat behavior takes time, patience, and persistence. Therefore, most cases will require multiple work sessions to see meaningful improvement.
Remember: Changing behavior takes time, patience, and persistence.

At Cat's Pajamas, we are committed to helping people understand cats and their needs. In a world with an abundance of dog trainers, cats are often misunderstood with fewer resources for training or behavior rehabilitation options. Because behavioral concerns can be an emotional and overwhelming experience, we will happily work with the entire household to bring balance and harmony back into your home. Cat's Pajamas will be your guide along the way. Our promise to you is our utmost commitment to providing the tools and support for the best success.
Lea is a certified cat trainer through Animal Behavior College and a Fear Free Certified Professional Trainer. Cats Pajamas approach is scientifically sound and reliable. We adhere to the humane hierarchy as well as LIMA. Our first priority is human safety and second is pet emotional and physical well-being. Many factors can dictate behavior, such as lack of or overstimulation, reactions to stress, change in their environment, or even an underlying medical condition. Because behavior develops from a combination of learning, genetics, etc., it cannot be erased or removed. Behavior is not "cured"; Instead, the animal learns to make different choices, trust, and more. Because learning takes time, most cases will require multiple work sessions to see meaningful improvement.
Cat's Pajamas will make every reasonable effort to help you achieve training and behavior modification goals, but we make no guarantee of your cat’s performance or behavior as a result of providing consultations. Many factors are involved in whether or not behavior modification or training will be successful. We guarantee 100% dedication to helping you understand and fix the problem. We will always tell you if we cannot help you and refer you to someone who can. We aim to help you and your cat live a happy life together.
To get the most out of our time:
Cat's Pajamas currently offers a mix of both in-person and virtual consultations.
While some training sessions are easier done in person, behavior cases begin by identifying and addressing contributing factors, laying foundational training, changing your behavior, etc., which means we rarely have to be in the room to get started and can often resolve the case without meeting in person! Cat's Pajamas coach the humans just as much as the cats! Lea is here to support you every step of the way.
There is a $25 upcharge for home visits. Home visits are limited to within 30 min of 98117.
Deposit and history are required to secure your appointment.
Lea corresponds via email due to schedule constraints and accommodating more clients more efficiently. This also allows a written record of what was discussed. Texting and phone calls are available to existing clients. If you are uncertain about whether to work on your pet's behavior concerns, Case Reviews are a great option.
Unfortunately, not at this time. Hopefully, in the near future! Stay tuned.

I understand Cats Pajamas Consulting can use my pet's photograph(s) and/or video(s) taken during training sessions for educational and promotional purposes in any media.
Vet Sharing:
To ensure your cat gets the best care possible, Cats Pajamas shares our report with your vet. I understand Cats Pajamas Consulting and consent for Cats Pajamas Consulting to share the Behavior report and have a dialogue with my veterinarian.
Agreement:
I understand and agree that Cats Pajamas Consulting does not offer free evaluations or consultations. I agree and understand that a “no-show” for a scheduled appointment will be considered a consult. I further understand and agree that consultations will take place only when the program is paid for in full and consults have no cash-out value. I further agree that Cats Pajamas Consulting determines consultation duration at the time of service. That time spent during appointments discussing my cat, behavior, and modifications is considered training/lesson time. I must implement such practices and behavior changes with my cat in-between appointments to get the most benefit and success from any modification program.
Cats Pajamas Consulting will be taking a break. We will not be taking any new clients at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
